BIDPELICAN

Sources & method

BidPelican lists only solicitations pulled from the official public sources below. Every listing carries its source's name, a link to the official posting, and the time it was last verified. An expired, cancelled, or unreachable listing is purged the same day — the board never shows a stale or invented contract.

SAM.gov — Contract Opportunities (Federal)

ONBOARDING
Access:
Official public API (api.sam.gov), incremental by posted-date window
Cadence:
2× daily

API is real and free, but it requires an API key. Pending: SAM.gov account registration for King Bull Ventures LLC + entity/system key request (master brief Week 1 paperwork). No federal listings are shown until the key is in hand — we never scrape the SAM web UI.

Florida DMS — Vendor Bid System (State)

ONBOARDING
Access:
Structured page-watch of the public advertisement search
Cadence:
2× daily

Verified Oct 25, 2026: VBS is the State of Florida's official repository for competitive solicitations, now fronted by the MyFloridaMarketPlace Vendor Information Portal (a JavaScript app). Adapter pending an API-discovery pass against the new portal; legacy VBS URLs return 404. No state listings are shown until the adapter verifies live.

Miami-Dade County — Strategic Procurement Department

LIVE · 24 listings
Access:
Public JSON feed (CurrentSolicitationsList) + public solicitation detail pages
Cadence:
2× daily
Last successful patrol:
Oct 25, 5:30 AM ET

Verified live Oct 25, 2026: the county's StratProc app publishes its current solicitations as a public JSON list (solicitation number, type, title, opening date, posted date) and a public detail page per solicitation. This is BidPelican's launch source — the county's heaviest local volume for our trades.

Broward County — Purchasing Division / BPRO

ONBOARDING
Portal of record:
https://bpro.broward.org/
Access:
Public index page-watch (full text may sit behind free vendor registration)
Cadence:
2× daily

Verified Oct 25, 2026: Broward County has moved solicitations to its new BPRO system and instructs vendors to register in BPRO to view, download, and respond. The BPRO host did not respond from our build environment during launch verification, and per the registry rule we never scrape behind a login in v1. Adapter ships only after the public surface verifies live; until then the board links out to BPRO and says so.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools — Procurement

ONBOARDING
Access:
Page-watch of district current-solicitations listings (DemandStar mirror noted per listing)
Cadence:
2× daily

District procurement site confirmed as the portal of record (solicitations also run through Onvia DemandStar/Euna). The host did not respond from our build environment during launch verification on Oct 25, 2026, so the adapter is pending a live verification pass. No M-DCPS listings are shown until it passes.

Broward County Public Schools — Procurement

ONBOARDING
Access:
Page-watch of district bid postings; DemandStar public agency page as corroboration
Cadence:
2× daily

District bid documents confirm solicitations run through Euna DemandStar with district postings public. The district's procurement pages were restructured (legacy page IDs return 404), so the adapter is pending re-verification of the live board URL. No BCPS listings are shown until it passes.

City of Miami — Procurement

ONBOARDING
Access:
Per-city page-watch after portal verification
Cadence:
2× daily

Phase-1 city. The city's public site applies bot protection to automated reads (HTTP 403 from our build environment on Oct 25, 2026); per registry rules the adapter waits for a verified access method rather than circumventing anything.

South Florida Water Management District

DEFERRED
Access:
Page-watch if a public solicitations board verifies
Cadence:
Daily

Bonus source per the master brief: include only if a public solicitations board verifies at build. Not yet verified — deferred in writing, per brief §8.

The purge policy

The patrol re-verifies open listings twice a day. Past the deadline, cancelled at the source, or vanished from the official list — the listing leaves the board the same day and sits in the recently-closed archive, marked CLOSED, for 14 days. If a source goes down, the digest says so by name rather than quietly recycling old rows.

Public data only

We ingest what agencies publish for the public — never anything behind someone else's login, and listing titles are carried verbatim from the source. Estimated values appear only when the source itself publishes one. The official posting is always the truth; BidPelican is a finding aid. BidPelican is a private service operated by King Bull Ventures LLC. It is not affiliated with SAM.gov, the State of Florida, Miami-Dade County, Broward County, or any government agency.
